Really informative sessions, during months of Covid-19 lockdowns.
My laboratory rearing of FAW larvae culture, for assessment of insecticides including biopesticides / bioassay studies. This FAW action webinar zoom presentations enable me to understand more on FAW, its management, field trials and lab experimentation. Thank you ASEAN FAW ACTION PLAN and Alison indeed.
I am so enlightened to have the privilege to join both Conservation Biocontrol Workshop on 5 April and Regional Resistance Management Plan Workshop on 27 April. So much wonderful and valuable knowledge on FAW, hope I can participate this kind of events again. Thank you very much to the organizers and the researchers for sharing.
Dr. Gurr's farmer-led experimentation is a fantastic concept. Dr. Zhu gave the following lecture on pest control by ecological engineering against the FAW. He explained the principle of ecological engineering and the various forms it. The use of banker plants to control habitat is a fantastic idea. The interesting part was some flowering plants that helped the parasitoids live longer. He stressed the ecosystems that aren't made up of maize. For resistance management, Dr. Gurr stressed the value of refuge areas with GM crops. In the end, Dr. Zhang gave a rundown.
I have already sent an email to faw@growasia.org
