Overall Session was very informative for all of us
I would like to appreciate all the presenters and organizers. Thank you very much for sharing valuable knowledge.

Thank you all for sharing this precious knowledge. I am working at a rice research center. This information are really beneficial for us.
Are new molecules of pesticides more effective than earlier recommended by research institutes ??
Another fantastic webinar series focused on essential elements of pesticide usage in agriculture, which is an absolute necessity for the current scenario in developing nations with increased synthetic pesticide use. Thank you organizers and presenters for providing good information.
Good, updated knowledge sharing on pesticides is good activity.
It is informative.
Good webinar. Thank you very much.
This work was very useful but use selective pesticides on targeted pest

It was intriguing to learn that use of synthetic pesticides is ever increasing in developing countries with supply chain expanding at unprecedented rate. Perception that synthetic pesticides are more effective compared to bio-pesticides, is a trajectory that need to change. Private sectors should be engaged and awareness created about the environmental consequences of synthetic pesticides and environmental benefit of biopesticides. The manufacturers should also ensure bio-pesticides are available at the wider scale and affordable.
I am very pleased to have signed up to this online workshop. First of all thanks to the presenters for the wonderful presentations. I think it was timely as we here in Belize are embarking on a "Grow Safe Campaign" where we are sensitizing farmers on the use of alternatives to conventional pesticides. We have teamed up with Sustainable Harvest International to promote bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers. Some of the challenges brought forward by the presenters are also ones that we we are facing as well. Our main objective is the reduce reliance on highly hazardous pesticides and promoting alternatives through Integrated Pest Management. Our approach is geared towards a Farmer Field School modality.
This session was very useful and interesting. All speakers presented great work from different communities with some similarities and differences between these communities. Another interesting finding was that behavioral changes were significantly affected by whether or not farmers were sure that they can do these changes and procedural knowledge, not only general knowledge. Definitely, things to think and reflect on. Thank you to all speakers!
Thank you to all the presenters and organizers for the informative workshop.
I noticed in the workshop presentation that women are creating changes in our views on pesticide uses and they are now taking part on agricultural farming. Women's communication skills are indispensable to spread awareness on the long term effects of pesticides and more open minded farmers regardless of the gender are influenced for good farming practices aiming to produce safety food production to address the demands of gaining population.
Thank you for the informative workshops and congratulations to all the presenters.
Appreciate all the presentations on pesticides. My experience is from Papua New Guinea.
We do not have a national agenda including farmer training and awareness in pesticide use and its implications including correctly identifying the pests and the pesticides to use.
Most use of pesticides is based on farmers hearsay experience and knowledge.
It is passed by word of mouth and is trial and error and based on practical applications, the farmer makes up his mind what and how to use it.
When it comes to pesticide knowledge and decision making among farmers, the Farmer Communication Workshop provided valuable information from several areas. It is recommended that such courses be held on a regular basis.

Thank you so much for the amazing workshop! I'd like to share the work conducted here in Malaysia on farmer's knowledge and attitude on IPM. In the survey study involving 150 Malaysian fruit farmers, we found that cocktail pesticides are still widely used by farmers, while most of them would spray chemical pesticides immediately once pests were observed, regardless of the population size of pests. Despite the high reliance on chemical pesticides, we found that farmers showed poor knowledge on different modes of action of pesticides. As a result, the farmers were merely be switching pesticides with the same MOA of different trade names.
