Consultancy Opportunities: Agricultural Drones, Digital IPM and Field-Level IPM Toolkits

Two fantastic opportunities to join the ASEAN FAW Action Plan work over the coming months are currently open. So, if you have a passion for the use of agricultural drones and digital IPM for plant health and pest and disease control across Southeast Asia or if you want to be involved in scoping out what an IPM Toolkit for farmers to control FAW in Viet Nam might involve - then don't hesitate to apply.

Drones and Digital IPM Academy Project (applications close Tuesday, 22 March 2022.)

The consultant will evaluate a proposal to establish a Southeast Asian Agricultural Drones and Data Academy as a centre for training excellence in the region to facilitate the effective and responsible use of drone and digital IPM technologies and to support economic development and innovation opportunities through the implementation of precision agriculture.

IPM Farmer Toolkit for FAW Control (applications close Friday, 18 March 2022.)

The consultant will provide recommendations and a project plan that brings together IPM, monitoring and farmer behaviour science to create farmer-centric solutions ("IPM Toolbox) that will support maize farmers to better monitor and control FAW. The intention will be to trial the approaches in two locations (highland and lowland maize growing areas) and test different approaches, technologies and solutions in the field with farmers.
